MJF had yet another lucky escape at AEW Worlds End 2024 when he beat Adam Cole in rather unconvincing fashion. Fans will no doubt loathe him even more after the bout.

The former AEW World Champion took on Adam Cole in a grudge match exactly one year after the infamous segment where The Panama City Playboy revealed himself to be The Devil. At Worlds End 2023, Friedman lost the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe. This marked the beginning of his bitter feud with Cole.

After going at each other for months, the two locked horns at Worlds End 2024. MJF was in control of the bout at the beginning, but Cole hit back. As the match moved outside of the ring, the former NXT Champion was busted open, allowing Friedman to gain an edge.

It was going well for The Wolf of Wrestling till he too was busted open. From there, the two stars landed some hard-hitting moves. In the closing stages of the contest, with the referee distracted, MJF hit Adam Cole with a low blow and delivered a Heatseeker to get the win.

With this victory, the former AEW World Champion has evened the score given what happened last year at the same event. In November 2024, he also beat Roderick Strong at Full Gear.
