AEW American Champion, MJF has shared an important message on social media today. The Salt of the Earth has shown his true colors and is once again a heel in All Elite Wrestling.

Last night on AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts, MJF who recently defeated Will Ospreay for the AEW International Championship tossed the title into the trash and introduced his brand new American Championship. Friedman was later ambushed by Ospreay who will be looking to regain his title when he faces the champion in a rematch at All In.

On X (fka Twitter), MJF confirmed that the International Championship had officially been replaced with the American Championship.

"The International Championship is dead. Long live the American Championship! God bless your American Hero! #ThankMeLater," he wrote.

Lexis King has a warning for AEW star MJF

Lexis King (fka Brian Pillman Jr.) left All Elite Wrestling in 2023 to sign with WWE's NXT brand. Many have praised the booking of King as compared to how the latter was presented in All Elite Wrestling.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Lexis King spoke about MJF and claimed he could steal anybody's spot if he decided to jump ship to WWE. However, King issued a warning to the 28-year-old about potentially coming to NXT and called it his domain and himself the king of it.

"You got guys like MJF in AEW... he could come here at any time and steal anybody’s spot if he wanted to. I don’t look at different factions as this, that, or the other. Everybody is an opponent or enemy, and if you’re coming to my show to take spots, you’re on my radar. I’m the king of NXT, and this is my domain," Lexis King said. [H/T to Fightful]

MJF recently signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see if the Salt of the Earth ever decides to make the huge switch to WWE in the future.
