Maxwell Jacob Friedman has sent a bold warning to a top AEW star on social media. The latter is none other than RUSH.
The Wolf of Wrestling made his Dynamite comeback on the June 5, 2024, episode and addressed the recent changes in AEW's landscape, calling out top champions in the promotion, including Kazuchika Okada, Swerve Strickland, and Will Ospreay. However, his promo was interrupted by RUSH, who exchanged words with Friedman before rushing to the ring to attack the latter. The result was a massive brawl, which was broken up by security and staff.
Three days after Dynamite, The Salt of the Earth decided to send a message to RUSH on social media. Taking to Twitter/X, MJF warned the former ROH World Champion, questioning his decision to confront him in a promo battle.
"Could be because I was highter than a giraffe's p**** last Wednesday, so can you imagine? This idiot really thought it was a good idea to go toe-to-toe with me on the mic? You mess with the bull, you get the horns, huh? You wanted to be the center of attention? 976,000 people got to watch you get verbally attacked. If you decide to come to work this week, I'm going to physically embarrass you. Translaion, you picked a fight with the wrong one if you wanted to make a name for yourself. You said you wanted your moment? I'LL GIVE YOU ONE! #Betterthanyou," tweeted Friedman. [Translated from Spanish by Google]

Plans for AEW's MJF heading into Forbidden Door 2024
MJF shocked fans in the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Double or Nothing 2024 when he returned to AEW for the first time since Worlds End 2023, confronting and laying out his former friend and tag partner, Adam Cole. Earlier this week, the former also returned on Dynamite at the Blue Arena in Loveland, CO.
Speaking to the crowd, Friedman mentioned the promotion's upcoming pay-per-view, Forbidden Door 2024, and claimed that he would most likely face a Japanese or Mexican wrestler at the event. Soon afterward, his promo was RUSH, which led to a pull-apart brawl. As such, the two men will likely collide in MJF's hometown of Long Island inside the UBS Arena.
On a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Maxwell Jacob Friedman was expected to take on RUSH at AEW Forbidden Door 2024.
“It looks like they are going with MJF vs. Rush on that show.”
It remains to be seen when the prospective match between MJF and RUSH will be officially announced for June 30, 2024.
