MJF has shared some shockingly vitriolic comments about a former WWE champion, going so far as to wish death on them. The talent in question is Adam Cole.

MJF's 2023 feud with Adam Cole took a surprising turn when the two men struck up an unlikely friendship after being forced to perform as a tag team together. The alliance also turned The Salt of the Earth into a babyface, with the duo—dubbed Better Than You BayBay—generating massive reactions from live audiences.

However, the partnership between Friedman and Cole ended after the latter turned on the former AEW World Champion following his loss of the World Title to Samoa Joe at Worlds End 2023. Cole, who revealed himself to be The Devil, debuted his new faction, The Undisputed Kingdom, and the latter put Friedman out of commission for months. However, the New York native made his comeback to the promotion at Double or Nothing 2024, interrupting Cole's promo, and took out the latter with a brainbuster.

The Wolf of Wrestling regressed to his villainous ways some time ago by brutalizing Daniel Garcia. During a recent interview with Cultaholic, MJF was asked about his babyface run last year. The reigning AEW American Champion accused Adam Cole of persuading him to engage positively with fans and let them in, as per the norms heroic wrestling characters follow.

However, he claimed to have learned his lesson owing to the betrayal he suffered from the former NXT Champion and implied that he may not undergo such a character transformation again for some time.

"I had a friend at the time, who I wish died of d*** cancer, and he convinced me to let the people in," MJF said. "I did, and I learned my lesson, and it's never going to happen again." [H/T, Wrestling Inc]

MJF broke his silence on alleged backstage confrontation with Britt Baker in AEW

In the latest controversy concerning supposed backstage unrest in the AEW locker room, Britt Baker was reportedly suspended by the Tony Khan-led promotion following a confrontation with MJF over comments made by The DMD about the latter, which he was supposedly informed about by his partner, Alicia Atout.

The reports that emerged on the incident revealed a number of details; however, Friedman himself seemingly quashed the rumors in his response to the subject during his interview with Cultaholic.

"Tell me if this passes the smell test. I barge into a woman's locker room. I scream in the face of an 110-pound woman, and then I physically threaten her by punching a wall in her vicinity...and I don't get suspended. Does that pass the smell test to you? Almost everything that was written didn't happen."

Friedman emphasized that employees do not need to necessarily gel with all their colleagues and claimed that his conflict with Baker had been blown out of proportion.

MJF will defend his American Title against Will Ospreay at All In 2024 later this month.
