Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter recently shared his thoughts on the major AEW controversy surrounding Britt Baker and MJF. The veteran believes that MJF is still very important to the promotion.
MJF captured the AEW International Title from Will Ospreay in a hard-hitting bout on AEW Dynamite's 250th episode in July. However, according to recent reports, Britt Baker was not happy about the duration of the match and had made some comments about MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout which led to a heated confrontation between The Good Doctor and The Wolf of Wrestling. Baker was suspended after the said confrontation but her suspension was lifted at the recent episode of Dynamite. MJF, on the other hand, did not face any consequences for the altercation.
On the recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine, Bill Apter reflected on the recent confrontation between Britt Baker and MJF and explained how her suspension was likely an angle.
"From what I understand it was a heated exchange between him and Britt Baker. She'll be at Wembley... I think the sound of MJF possibly cursing out her brought attention from management. MJF to them is still the golden goose so they probably said, 'Do me a favor, just take a few weeks off till Wembley your suspension,' or it's an angle coming down the line." [From 01:55 to 02:46]

Teddy Long also shared his thoughts on the AEW backstage fight between MJF and Britt Baker
In the same episode, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long compared the incident to the early days of wrestling and claimed that the fight would have stayed in the locker room.
"Well, that wouldn't have happened back in the day because that wouldn't have gotten any further than the locker room. Not either with a brawl or conversation but it might have turned into a fight." [From 01:25 to 01:42]
Britt Baker and MJF are both set to have matches at All In on August 25th. It will be interesting to if anything happens backstage at Wembley Stadium.
