AEW star MJF recently appeared on a major promotion and sent a message to his upcoming opponent. The promotion being discussed is CMLL.
The Wolf of Wrestling created a lot of buzz on last week's Dynamite after he dumped the recently captured International Championship into the trash and introduced the American Championship. Later, Will Ospreay came out to the ring and announced his rematch with MJF would take place at All In 2024.
A couple of weeks ago, the American Champion announced he would be defending his championship at CMLL on August 2, 2024. The promotion conducted a tournament to decide MJF's opponent and Templario emerged as the winner. This will be the second time he will be facing a CMLL star of late, as he also faced Hechicero at the Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View.
On the recent CMLL show, The Salt of the Earth appeared on screen with the American Championship and sent a message to Templario.

"At the end of the duel, MJF appears on the screens to confirm that he will bet the AEW American Championship next week against The Lion Warrior," CMLL wrote.
MJF wants a rematch with Ricky Starks
The Absolute star hasn't been featured on AEW TV since March this year. His absence is somewhat of a mystery as he isn't injured and reportedly is in great shape.
While speaking with Casual Conversations with The Classic, the American Champion said he feuded with Ricky Starks and "spit him out" and said he is willing to face the latter again.
"He tried to go toe-to-toe with me on the microphone. I ate him up, I chewed him up, I spit him out. I mean, it was pretty embarrassing... And I wrestled him, I think I beat him in 30 seconds, but like, I'd be willing to give the kid another shot, because again, you know... Underrated talent. And, you know... I think he's great. I think he's great," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Templario manages to dethrone Maxwell on the CMLL show and capture the American Championship.
