AEW American Champion has warned a three-time WWE champion to stay away from All Elite Wrestling. This should come as no surprise, given Maxwell is on his heel run right now. The star in question is none other than Shane McMahon.

Shane has been the subject of much speculation ever since his picture of meeting with Tony Khan went viral. He even sent out a statement saying that they were meeting to talk about their love for the business.

During an interview with WrestleTalk, MJF was asked about Shane potentially appearing in AEW, and the champion said that he hopes the 54-year-old stays away from the ring, given how he injured himself at WrestleMania 39. He said:

“Please stay away. For his health. Stay away from me. I thought it was super impressive how easily he tore his quad. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Let’s hope that’s not in every single facet of his life.” [H/T Fightful]

MJF said former WWE star Shane McMahon would be great for AEW

Despite what he said about Shane McMahon having to stay away from the ring, MJF did acknowledge that having the former WWE star sign up for AEW would be great for the company.

In the same interview, the AEW American Champion shared his reaction to the picture of Tony Khan meeting with McMahon.

He said:

“My reaction was, ‘Please stay away from me.’ If he wants to come in, I genuinely think he’s a megastar and that’d be friggin great and huge for the fans and huge for AEW.” [H/T Fightful]

It is great that despite the apparent disdain, he still respects the former WWE star. MJF will be taking on Will Ospreay at All In at Wembley Stadium, where he will put his American Championship on the line.

If Shane McMahon does show up in AEW at All In, then it could be a great initiation, given that it is their biggest show of the year.
