MVP made his shocking AEW debut on Dynamite: Grand Slam 2024 with an interesting offer to a former WWE Superstar. The latter is none other than Swerve Strickland.
The 2024 edition of Dynamite: Grand Slam featured an interview with Prince Nana conducted by Tony Schiavone. The 45-year-old manager was asked for an update on former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, who has not been seen since his brutal Lights Out Steel Cage match with Hangman Page. Nana revealed that The New Flavor was not yet cleared to return, though he was doing his best to come back to action.
Nana and Schiavone were interrupted by the shocking debut appearance of former WWE Superstar MVP after he left the Stamford-based promotion in August 2024. The Franchise Playa agreed with Nana's assessment of Swerve being AEW's most dangerous competitor, listing Strickland's recent accomplishments and praising his world title run this year.
However, he then blamed Nana for supposedly not fulfilling his role as a manager and letting Bryan Danielson, who dethroned Strickland at All In 2024, and Adam Page, who sent his arch-enemy into his current hiatus, move past their battles with Swerve without consequence.
Afterward, MVP gave Prince Nana his business card, requesting he pass it on to Strickland should he want to discuss "business." This may have also been a reference to recent rumors of a Hurt Business reunion in All Elite Wrestling.
