Netflix did not contact AEW name for Vince McMahon docuseries; he is surprised: "I know every secret"

A WWE Hall of Famer who is currently signed to AEW has disclosed that he was surprised that Netflix didn't approach him for the upcoming Vince McMahon docuseries. The veteran recently claimed he knew every secret about McMahon.

The AEW name in question is Jim Ross, who worked alongside McMahon for years. Netflix recently announced an upcoming docuseries, Mr. McMahon, which will be based on the controversial life of the former WWE Chairman. The series is slated to release on September 25, and JR revealed that he will not feature in it.

On his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross recently disclosed that he wasn't interviewed for the upcoming docuseries. Ross mentioned that he was surprised by the decision as he was very close to Vince McMahon during his lengthy WWE tenure.

“No [I wasn’t interviewed for it]. Yeah, [I was also surprised by that] too. What are you afraid of? What’s the powers to be afraid of? Why wouldn’t you interview me? No one closer to Vince than me at certain times of my tenure. Right-hand man-type material. I never got a call. Maybe they didn’t feel like I was viable enough to follow up," Ross said.

JR further claimed that he knew every secret about the legendary wrestling promoter.

"I would have been happy to do an interview if I had been approached. But that didn’t occur, and I’m not sure why because I know every secret, every corner, the whole nine yards. My feelings aren’t hurt because I wasn’t involved in it, might be better that I wasn’t just because it would be easier to watch. During the same chat, Jim Ross said he was anxious to see how in-depth the Vince McMahon docuseries would be. JR also praised the show's producer, Bill Simmons.

“It all depends on how much involvement, in a production sense, that Vince is going to have on the project. Look, he’s a controversial guy and this is a hell of a story. I can tell you, Bill Simmons is really talented. I’m anxious to see how much in-depth on the production side, the storytelling side, the screenwriting side that Vince is going to have in this thing."
