Ever since AEW President Tony Khan purchased Ring of Honor last year, he has provided plenty of integration between it and his flagship promotion. However, one of ROH's top stars would like more TV time on the company's weekly programming. The star in question is Athena.
The current ROH Women's World Champion has been a dominant force since signing with the company. Athena is on a tear in ROH but has seen limited time on All Elite Wrestling's weekly programming. In addition, she has only been featured on the pre-show at the company's last two pay-per-views, All Out and WrestleDream.
Speaking at a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, Athena described her goals in wrestling, declaring that she wants to be a staple on weekly television:
"Right now, I'm focused on Ring of Honor and helping build that brand up. I do have more aspirations outside of Ring of Honor. I want to work for AEW more often, I want to be a main staple on AEW television, as I'm doing for Ring of Honor right now. I would love to do both at the same time. As far as my career goes, in the long term, I kind of go where the wind blows. Never say never as far as what comes in the future."

The ROH Women's World Champion further revealed her desire to have all three women's titles around her waist from both Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling:
"What I'm focused on now is just building myself up because it's taken me quite a long time to get where I am currently. Hopefully, you can call me three belts Athena in AEW when the TBS Championship, AEW Women's Championship, and Ring of Honor Championship are all around my waist. That would be the highest aspiration right now, to hopefully main event an AEW pay-per-view. I'm going with the flow," she said. [H/T Fightful]
AEW star Athena has held the ROH Women's World Championship for over 300 days
Athena won the Ring of Honor Women's World title at Final Battle in December of last year and has held onto the belt for 317 days and counting. Throughout her dominant run, the former WWE Superstar has defended the title a staggering 16 times, not counting Eliminator or Proving Ground matches.
The 35-year-old currently boasts a record of 36-7 since signing with All Elite Wrestling and seems unstoppable. Her most recent title defense was against 'Legit' Leyla Hirsch.
With the dominant Women's World Champion seemingly running out of opponents, it's likely only a matter of time before she begins taking on the women of All Elite Wrestling's flagship programs.
