New champions were crowned this week on Fright Night AEW Dynamite. The tag team division has new title-holders as Private Party dethroned The Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Championship.
The October 30, 2024, edition of Dynamite witnessed utter carnage break loose when members of the All Elite locker room, including Private Party, rushed to aid Orange Cassidy against Jon Moxley and The BCC. Immediately after the melee was dispersed, The Young Bucks made their way to the ring for their AEW World Tag Team Title match against Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen.
The stipulation for the bout entailed that either new champions would be crowned, or Private Party would split up as a team. The up-and-coming stars fought tooth-and-nail for the belts, although things seemingly started to go awry when Marq Quen accidentally clobbered Zay with the ring bell.
The All Elite EVPs did their best to hold on to their championship, even after outside interference from their stable-mate Kazuchika Okada, who tombstoned Quen on the entrance stage while The Bucks dominated Brother Zay in the ring. Kassidy refused to go down for the count, however, kicking out of The EVP Trigger. Matthew Jackson even delivered a One-Winged Angel to Zay, but Quen made the save for his partner.
Finally, Private Party managed to nail the Gin and Juice on Nicholas Jackson and defeated The Young Bucks to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
After the match, The Jackson Brothers shook hands with Private Party and handed them their title belts, seemingly teasing a potential face turn.
