Rumors of AEW talent jumping to WWE—and vice-versa—seem to catch fire easily in 2024. For one former All Elite Wrestling World Tag Team Champion who has been heavily rumored to sign with the global juggernaut this year, enough is enough.
Penta El Zero Miedo and his real-life brother, Rey Fenix, are among the most popular and successful talents from All Elite Wrestling's early days. The Lucha Bros are former World Tag Team and Trios World Champions, but recent reports have linked them both to WWE.
Penta and Fenix have allegedly not re-signed with All Elite Wrestling, and with their contracts being up in the next few months, many have speculated that the two will follow Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, and Ethan Page to the Stamford-based company. One recent report even claimed that WWE expected Penta El Zero Miedo to be in Orlando (where the Performance Center is) this week.
Penta, however, has had enough of the fervor. The masked luchador took to X/Twitter today with a demand to stop the gossip, as he's still with All Elite Wrestling at the moment:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"no more gossip! my present is aew!" wrote Penta.

Dave Meltzer addresses backstage news regarding AEW's Lucha Bros
Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix haven't been as successful this year as they were in the past, which may have prompted an interest in signing with AEW. Although both have won titles in Tony Khan's promotion, they could also benefit from a change in scenery.
According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, however, Penta is the one who wants to make the jump, and Rey Fenix will remain loyal to his brother in that event. Speaking on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer also mentioned that the absence of The Young Bucks could have played a part:
"They [Young Bucks] haven’t been [at TV], because I know Pentagon & Fenix wanted to talk to them, and they weren’t there because of whatever...I did hear a lot about the Pentagon and Fenix stuff, and essentially I think Pentagon didn’t wanna stay [in AEW], and Fenix wanted to be loyal to his brother. And that's kinda it."
The Young Bucks and The Lucha Bros have enjoyed the biggest rivalry in the history of All Elite Wrestling's tag team division. Penta and Fenix famously won the World Tag Team Championship from the EVPs at All Out 2021. Whether the luchadors ever step into the ring against the Jackson brothers again remains to be seen.
