AEW CEO Tony Khan recently announced Jay White versus Christian Cage for the upcoming episode of Dynamite. However, the fans have not taken the announcement well as they questioned the lack of build-up behind the bout.

The Switchblade was unable to move up in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament earlier this year due to Christian Cage. After getting eliminated from the tournament, White took some time off to heal a reported foot injury. He made his shocking return at AEW Dynamite's 5th Anniversary earlier this month. Jay White will be looking to exact revenge on Christian Cage this Wednesday on Dynamite.

In a recent post on X (fka Twitter), Tony Khan announced that after coming off a huge victory against Hangman Adam Page at WrestleDream, Jay White will face Christian Cage this Wednesday on Dynamite.

The fans continued to show their displeasure with the lack of build-up and match being held on an episode of Dynamite.

"AEW really needs to work on posting videos on YT so people make sense of why these matches are happening," a fan tweeted.
"To the surprise of absolutely no one," another fan tweeted.
"I know it's not always practical, but I miss having matches scheduled two weeks or more in advance. It's nice to have big matches to look forward to," a fan stated.

We will have to wait and see whether Jay White or Christian Cage walks out with the victory on Dynamite as both men cannot afford a loss at the moment.

Tony Khan confirms he owns the majority of the shares in AEW

AEW recently signed their deal with Warner Bros. Discovery which allows them to stream Dynamite and Collision on Max starting January 2025. However, there has been a lot of speculation that after the deal, WBD might have received a small share of All Elite Wrestling.

During WrestleDream's media scrum, CEO Tony Khan confirmed that he has 100% voting stock in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

"I will not get into our ownership structure but I will say that I have 100% of the voting stock in this company and have since the beginning, and hold the vast majority of shares...As the sole voting owner and the vast majority shareholder of the company, I think that speaks volumes and I'm the controlling owner with 100% voting control of the business," Khan said. It will be interesting to see what major changes will occur in All Elite Wrestling programming after the move to Max.
