Former AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy has made a claim regarding Tony Khan's acquisition of a former WWE star. The name in question is none other than the first-ever All Elite Wrestling World Champion, Chris Jericho.

In 2019, AEW took the wrestling world by storm and arrived as a competitor to WWE. This also resulted in some big stars from World Wrestling Entertainment jumping over to Tony Khan's promotion. Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley were among the first to sign up with Jacksonville-based company. All Elite Wrestling decided to crown Jericho as its first World Champion, and the veteran has stayed loyal to Khan since. The veteran has reinvented himself multiple times and got his gimmick over with the crowd.

In a recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, Orange Cassidy shared his thoughts on Chris Jericho and claimed that he was the biggest reason for his success. Jericho was one of Cassidy's first major feuds in the company in 2019. The King of Sloth Style even has multiple victories over the veteran.

During the interview, Cassidy praised Jericho for reinventing himself every time and helping talent reach new heights. The former International Champion also noted that AEW was lucky to get the legend onboard in 2019.

"Chris Jericho, he is probably part of the biggest reason why I am where I am today. I think Chris Jericho has an incredible ability, like you said, Bill, to evolve with the times. Chris Jericho knows how to keep himself relevant, entertaining and, trying his absolute best to make other people become stars. And he did it with me. He is one of those guys that I think we lucked out on getting at AEW." [From 05:23 to 06:21]

Chris Jericho recently won a World Title at AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho is still adding to his incredible resume as he constantly tries to perform at a higher level in All Elite Wrestling. A couple of months ago, Jericho faced Mark Briscoe for the Ring of Honor World Championship in a Ladder War match on Dynamite.

After a brutal battle and interferences from Jericho's Learning Tree stablemates, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, Chris Jericho defeated Mark Briscoe to win his second ROH World Title. The veteran is set to defend the title against Matt Cardona at the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view.

We will have to wait and see if Matt Cardona dethrones Chris Jericho for the ROH World Title.
