Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno has claimed that a current AEW star is better than CM Punk. The name in question was a recent World Champion.

Chris Jericho is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. As a 30-year industry veteran, Jericho has competed in multiple promotions around the world and won championships everywhere he has gone. He was always a top star with every company he worked for whether it was WCW, WWE, NJPW, or AEW.

Jericho has faced several opponents throughout his career including CM Punk. The two men had a heated feud during their time together in WWE several years ago. Given both men's career trajectories, many fans have wondered who was the better of the two.

During a recent episode of Keepin' It 100 Official podcast, a fan asked the question regarding who was better between Chris Jericho and CM Punk. Disco Inferno replied that Jericho was better given his body of work. However, he also stated that Punk could surpass the Learning Tree if he keeps performing at the same level eight years from now.

"As it stands right now with Chris Jericho but if Punk has another eight years in him at this level that he's competing against, he'll probably overtake Jericho. But I would say Jericho....Both of them got over huge [in] WWE at certain points but Jericho got over in WCW and ECW and New Japan. Punk was just what Ring of Honor and WWE, right? So, I would say just based on that Jericho's body of work is a little more impressive and I know people are going to argue about this too," he said. [1:15 - 1:55]

Seth Rollins has legit animosity towards CM Punk

When CM Punk returned at Survivor Series 2023, Seth Rollins was not happy and he made it clear with his reaction. Over the past year, he has voiced his displeasure over the Straight Edge Superstar's return to the WWE after bashing the company for a decade. After a year, both men finally kicked off their rivalry which ended in a stellar match on RAW's Netflix premiere this week. While feuds like this are generally storyline-driven, Rollins genuinely does not like Punk which made this feud more real.

During an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Seth Rollins noted how he tried to reach out to CM Punk several times after he left the company but never got a response. Instead, the former AEW star would only take time to bash WWE online. As a result, he had a lot of bottled-up animosity against The Straight Edge Superstar and he let it all out.

"And then even over the years, I reached out to him a couple of times, to try to like engage and just see where he was at and if he was interested in coming back and nothing, no response, except whenever he would get a chance, he would just talk as much cr*p as he could. And so, yeah, I had all of this stuff bottled up for 10 years to finally be able to get out there on a microphone and say it. And it's probably not even articulated the best it can. But there's just so much real, I mean, hatred is a strong word, but it's as close to hatred as you can get. [Animosity?] Resentment, animosity, like, just anger," said Rollins. [18:21 - 19:29]

It will be interesting to see whether Seth Rollins and CM Punk will be able to move on from their animosity towards each other or if their feud has only just started and there's a lot more yet to unfold.
