Bobby Lashley has finally arrived in AEW, making his first appearance in the Tony Khan-led promotion on Fright Night Dynamite. Wrestling fans have taken to social media to share their responses to the blockbuster debut.
The October 30, 2024, edition of Dynamite was main-evented by a singles match between Shelton Benjamin and Swerve Strickland, a bout that was made official after The Gold Standard's in-ring debut in All Elite Wrestling earlier this month. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion pushed The New Flavor to his limit in an effort to punish the latter for turning down his stable-mate MVP's offer to join forces with The Hurt Syndicate. However, Strickland ultimately picked up the win on Dynamite after a Swerve Stomp on Benjamin.
Following the match, MVP was seen talking to someone on the phone, after which the lights in the arena dimmed momentarily, setting up for the shocking debut of Bobby Lashley. The All-Mighty embraced The Franchise Playa outside the ring and then stared down Strickland in the squared circle.
A distraction from Shelton Benjamin allowed Lashley to lay out Swerve, after which the former Hurt Business teammates continued to assault the former AEW World Champion while also attacking Prince Nana and AEW security personnel.

Bobby Lashley's comments about AEW from before his debut this week
Prior to his All Elite Wrestling debut on Fright Night Dynamite, Bobby Lashley addressed Tony Khan and his promotion, as well as his views with respect to the company, while speaking on The Lame Guys podcast.
The Destroyer explained how up-and-coming All Elite talent could benefit from the exposure of being in the ring with established stars, regardless of whether they came from WWE.
"You think they have enough money for me? [laughs] MVP is great. The one thing I know with Tony Khan, and this is one thing I've seen that's really cool... Fans need to understand this because sometimes they say, 'They're just getting old WWE guys.' With any show, you need your established guys to help establish some that aren't. MVP coming over brings a lot of notoriety, a fanbase, and a level starting that they can use. Some of the guys there are fantastic wrestlers, they just need to be in the ring with certain [talent]," Lashley said.
It remains to be seen when Bobby Lashley will make his in-ring debut in AEW.
