A top AEW star hinted at bringing a new look for a highly anticipated event next week. It seems this may be a new hairstyle, as they showed that they had cut off some of their hair.
Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes are set to appear at Wrestle Dynasty, where AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and Stardom stars will appear in a crossover pay-per-view similar to Forbidden Door. The difference is that this will be at the Tokyo Dome, and The Sons of Texas are set to put their ROH Tag Team titles on the line against SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru of House of Torture.
On X/Twitter, Sammy Guevara posted a selfie of himself. He held a bunch of hair in his left hand, hinting that he had just cut his hair off. Part of his head was shown in the photo, but he has always had an undercut hairstyle, so it is still unclear whether he went for a completely shaven look or chopped a little off the top. Fans will have to wait for Wrestle Dynasty to see his new look.
Another AEW star is set to make in-ring return in Japan soon
Coincidentally, Sammy Guevara's wife, Tay Melo, who has not competed in the ring in almost two years, is set to make her in-ring return next week as part of a Stardom event.
She last appeared in the ring in an intergender tag team match with the Spanish God in March 2023, and her last AEW match was in January last year.
Stardom has announced that she'll be part of a tag team match at their New Year Dream event, which will be held at the Tokyo Garden Theater on January 3. Tay Melo will be teaming up with Mina Shirakawa against ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Thekla.
It seems like the couple will be in Japan next week for different reasons. Now that both of them are back to competing, it remains to be seen if they'll begin working together once more, just as they have in the past.
