Earlier tonight, during AEW Dynamite, a WCW veteran was spotted by several fans during a backstage segment in what looked to be a cameo on live television. This would be Glacier.

The veteran was one of the most unique stars of the late 90s. His character was that of a man who traveled to Japan to learn a unique martial arts fighting style. His sensei gave him the name as a symbol of his unique abilities. At the time, he was also known for his high-budget entrances, with everything from the lights to his costume being high-quality.

During MJF and Rush's brawl to begin this week's episode of Dynamite, the fight went from the ring to behind the curtains backstage. Several personnel and members of the roster came to hold them back, and Glacier was seen as one of those holding the luchador back.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Most fans did not notice this at first but were surprised by the surprise cameo. One fan even hilariously claimed that it was not him as he did not have his iconic blue eye from his WCW persona.

"D**n! That is an Amazing Catch!" a fan commented.
"Great eye," another mentioned.
"Not him. His right eye isn't bright blue. Maybe its his cousin," a user wrote.

Other fans were surprised to see him backstage, as this meant that he could have a role within AEW.

"Wait? Glacier works for @AEW ?!?!?!? #AEWDynamite," said one.
"The greatest cooler in all of wrestling," another claimed.

The WCW veteran made his AEW debut five years ago

This was not the first time Glacier had been on-screen for the promotion. Back in 2019, during their inaugural pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, he was revealed as one of the participants of the Casino Battle Royal.

He was announced a month before the event, so his appearance on the day itself did not surprise many. In the end, he would not win the Battle Royale, having been eliminated by MJF.

In the end, Hangman Adam Page won it all and earned a future world title opportunity. He also fell short, as Chris Jericho ended up becoming the inaugural world champion.

At this point, no details regarding the reasons for Glacier being backstage in AEW have been disclosed, so fans will have to stay tuned to reports about this.
