A former WWE United States Champion shared a picture highlighting his body transformation. The wrestler in question is none other than absent AEW star Andrade El Idolo.

The former WWE Superstar has not been seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion since he was reportedly suspended following a physical altercation between him and Sammy Guevara. The last time El Idolo was seen inside a wrestling ring was at the 2022 AEW All Out pay-per-view when he was part of the Casino Ladder match.

During his absence, Andrade El Idolo has been spending a lot of leisure time with his wife Charlotte Flair. He was also seen supporting her during several wrestling events such as the Hall of Fame and WrestleMania 39.

The 33-year-old star recently took to Twitter to show off his physique. It was clear that he has been working on himself a lot during his absence. He also teased a potential return to in-ring action.

"248 lb nobody knows!! live in the present because the future is on the way," Andrade El Idolo tweeted.

It had been previously speculated that the former NXT Champion is looking to get fired from AEW. With that being said, it is still unclear if he will return to the Jacksonville-based promotion or wait until his contract expires and wrestle elsewhere.

Former WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo reveals that his AEW contract is expiring soon

Andrade was recently interviewed by Lucha Libre Online, where he revealed that his AEW contract is expiring soon. He also mentioned that the suspension was not the only reason for him to be out of action as he had undergone surgery back in November:

"I'm with AEW, to make it clear. Soon, my contract will expire. I had a tear in my chest and I got surgery in November. I was out for 4 months but soon I’ll be back. I was at the Hall of Fame accompanying my wife and to be next to a great friend Rey Mysterio... He’s the symbol for all the Latinos, Rey Mysterio," Andrade El Idolo said. [H/T - WrestlingNews]

The former WWE Superstar recently took to Twitter to appreciate two of the young talents in AEW. They were none other than Hook and Jungle Boy Jack Perry.
