The Hardy Boyz recently shared a photo with a former WWE champion after reuniting with him for the first time in over 14 years. The star being discussed is MVP, who is currently managing The Hurt Syndicate, which includes Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

The former United States Champion is regarded as one of the most underrated stars in WWE. After being released by the Stamford-based promotion in 2010, he went on to wrestle in NJPW, TNA, and several other major promotions. On January 15, 2011, MVP faced Matt Hardy at WrestleFest show, marking their potentially latest meeting. The 51-year-old eventually returned to WWE in 2020, where he managed The Hurt Business.

Meanwhile, Jeff and Matt Hardy left AEW earlier this year after a mediocre run in the company. Since June, The Hardy Boyz have been part of TNA, where they’ve held the TNA World Tag Team Championships for over a month.

Recently, Matt Hardy took to X/Twitter and shared a picture of him, Jeff Hardy, and MVP with a three-word message.

WWE veteran MVP claims he will retire in AEW

Montel Vontavious Porter debuted in the Jacksonville-based promotion in September 2024. While he hasn't wrestled in the promotion yet, he is still an active wrestler.

While speaking on Drop The Heat, MVP claimed that he has some huge plans. He also stated that he would like to have his final match in the Tony Khan-led promotion.

“Well, the next chapter currently is AEW. Got the boys back together, The Hurt Syndicate. I want to end that chapter the way it should have been ended, so we [have] plans to do some really good business in AEW. I got a few matches left in me, I’d like to have one, well, a few matches before I hang it up for good because I’m not officially retired yet, so I want to have my final retirement match," he said.

It remains to be seen what is next for MVP and his business associates.
