A fan recently pitched the idea of seeing Goldberg and ex-WWE star Ryback in a retirement match in AEW. Last week, on his YouTube channel, the 42-year-old former WWE star officially challenged Goldberg to a double retirement match in Las Vegas next year.

Recently, a wrestling fan took to his Twitter (X) account and pitched a double retirement match between Goldberg and Ryback for the upcoming AEW All In PPV, which will take place at Wembley Stadium.

Several other fans on the social media platform reacted to the post. It looks like not many people want to see Ryback and Goldberg lock horns inside the squared circle.

''This match would be awful, IMO!'' a fan claimed.
"If that’s the vision, I’m about to pull an Oedipus and pluck out my own eyes," another fan stated.
"The loser retires, but get this, the winner retires, too! How about that?" another fan wrote.

Ex-WWE star Ryback comments on Chris Jericho's retirement

Chris Jericho has been in the wrestling business since the 1990s. With each passing year, Y2J is inching closer to his eventual retirement. During a recent episode of his Ryback TV podcast, the former WWE Superstar commented on Jericho's potential retirement plans.

Ryback stated that The Learning Tree could retire after the completion of his current contract with AEW, or he could also continue his pro wrestling journey for a few more years.

“Is he [Chris Jericho] better off looking at maybe going out, or is he trying to get one more contract and stretch this out another three years? I don't know. Maybe he is going to do everything he can to get it, and again, it is going to come down to what Tony thinks: if Tony thinks that there is value, maybe they do come to a deal, but it's not going to be a main event if you wanna continue, and maybe it is transitioning to more of a backstage presence. I don't know!” he said.

Currently, The Ocho is the FTW Champion in AEW. He is playing The Learning Tree gimmick in the promotion. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the veteran.
