Fans hilariously reacted to the rumors of Cody Rhodes exiting AEW due to an AEW star. The star being discussed is Britt Baker.
The American Nightmare left AEW in February 2022 to pursue his career in WWE. He didn't reveal the exact reason for departing the promotion. His wife, Brandi Rhodes, who also played a huge role in the company's women's division, left the promotion with him. Cody recently opened up about Brandi not getting treated properly in the promotion.
The recent Britt Baker—MJF controversy and The Doctor's suspension a couple of weeks ago have left everyone speculating if the former AEW Women's World Champion is a problem in the Jacksonville-based promotion. After her suspension was lifted, Britt returned to AEW TV during this week's Dynamite.
AAA producer Konnan recently made a bold claim about the possible reason for Cody Rhodes' departure. He stated that one of the reasons why the Undisputed WWE Champion left was Brandi's issue with Britt Baker and that Tony Khan would always vouch for the latter.

Following the shocking statements, many mocked Tony Khan for his leadership qualities. Many also claimed that CM Punk wasn't the only issue in AEW.

Cody Rhodes says he will always have an eye for AEW
The Undisputed WWE Champion is a former EVP of AEW alongside The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. After working in the promotion for three years, he signed with WWE.
While speaking on the Busted Open podcast, the American Nightmare revealed that he will never ignore AEW's existence as he was part of its inception.
“I think I’ll always have an eye on it because it’s just not something you can abandon in your mind in a sense of, hey, me, Matt [Jackson], Nick [Jackson], Kenny [Omega], Tony [Khan], Brandi [Rhodes], Bernie [Cahill], Chris [Harrington], Dana [Massie] started this thing, especially if you were in those initial meetings. So I’ll always have an eye for it. I could never just pretend it’s not there anymore," he said.
It remains to be seen if Cody Rhodes ever steps foot in AEW in the future.
