Will Ospreay has cemented his status as one of the world's best pro wrestlers over the last decade. In an exclusive interview, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry had nothing but praise for the AEW star's personality and professionalism.
Ospreay wrestled for several promotions around the world before debuting in AEW in 2022. The 31-year-old recently won the AEW International Championship from Roderick Strong at Double or Nothing. Next week, he will compete in another high-profile match against MJF on the July 17 episode of Dynamite.
Henry recently left AEW after working for the company as a coach and commentator for three years. Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, the two-time Olympian applauded Ospreay's in-ring skills and attitude backstage:
"I think as a strength his storytelling to his ability is awesome," Henry said. "He knows what he can do and he knows how to get to it, he knows how to get around it. Just a brilliant worker, great personality, fun spirit. Like, he's not an a**hole. That, I have a lot of respect for. The people that could be an a**hole but they're not. If anybody could be a piece of trash, it's him. He's that talented, but he's not [a piece of trash], and that means a lot to me." [8:18 – 9:06]

Mark Henry critiques Will Ospreay's AEW booking
In recent weeks, AEW President Tony Khan has booked Will Ospreay to compete in several matches lasting longer than 15 minutes.
To keep Ospreay special, Mark Henry thinks Khan should only allow the Englishman to wrestle longer matches when the time is right:
"I think that he's so good that he shouldn't have as many competitive matches. It's saying that other people are his equal, and they're not," said Henry. [9:15 – 9:26]
Henry also offered his opinion on an alternative way Khan can book Ospreay to highlight how good he is as an in-ring performer.
