A returning long-time AEW name provided an explanation for why she went after a certain former Women's World Champion a few weeks ago. This would be Penelope Ford.

Almost two weeks ago, Jamie Hayter was part of a Four-Way match to decide Mariah May's next challenger. Willow Nightingale ended up winning the whole match. The British star was then taken out of the match by the returning Penelope Ford, as the two brawled all the way backstage.

Tonight on Collision, Jamie Hayter faced Brooke Havok and beat her in under two minutes. Post-match, Ford appeared on-screen and cut a promo on her, revealing why she was going after her.

She revealed that two years ago, in what was her last televised match, she teamed up with Hayter on an episode of AEW Dark. She could not compete in-ring after seemingly due to health issues, and she claimed that Hayter never checked on her.

The former AEW Women's World Champion herself suffered an injury and was on the shelf for a year. However, in her return at All In, she had a great moment in front of her home crowd at Wembley Stadium. Penelope Ford vowed to show her what two years of frustration looks like.
