A released AEW personality has seemingly confirmed having had talks with WWE in a social media post. The individual in question is none other than Jose the Assistant.

Jose started appearing in the Tony Khan-led promotion in 2021, and formerly served as a manager to current WWE Superstar Andrade El Idolo during the latter's stint in AEW. He would eventually be tasked with managing the members of La Faccion Ingobernable, a hard-hitting and violent faction comprised of RUSH, Dralistico and Preston Vance.

Jose the Assistant was released by All Elite Wrestling several months ago. He has been active quite regularly on social media since then, where he frequently shares his thoughts and goals regarding his future in pro-wrestling. Recently on X/Twitter, a fan asked Jose if he had had conversations with any wrestling promoters with respect to his career, referencing WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H with some wordplay. The former AEW figure responded in the affirmative, evidently suggesting that he has engaged in talks with the sports entertainment juggernaut.

"Of course," wrote Jose.

Former AEW manager Jose the Assistant also teased a WWE NXT appearance recently

World Wrestling Entertainment has succeeded at signing a number of talent who formerly plied their trade in All Elite Wrestling in recent years, including Cody Rhodes, CM Punk and Jade Cargill on the main roster and the likes of Lexis King and Ethan Page on NXT.

Jose the Assistant, who was released by All Elite Wrestling in April, recently teased his potential WWE arrival on social media. Taking to X/Twitter, he sent out a message claiming to be prepared for whatever lies next for him in the industry. Interestingly, he capitalized the letters N, X and T in his tweet, suggesting his interest in appearing on the promotion's developmental brand.

"Just a reminder, time tick tick tick tick ticks away……. But how soon is SOON? Jose The Assistant ™ is ready for what is NeXT?" the former AEW name wrote.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Jose the Assistant in the wrestling business.
