AEW backstage interviewer Renee Paquette was absent from the most recent episode of Dynamite. The 39-year-old has finally provided an update on her absence.
All Elite Wrestling aired its first show on MAX last night. The promotion presented the special episode of Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, which had some top moments. However, many noticed the absence of Renee Paquette, who is a regular on AEW television.
In her Instagram Stories, Renee, from her hotel room in Asheville, North Carolina, revealed that she has not been feeling well. She further expressed her disappointment at missing AEW's first-ever simulcast on MAX.
“Guys, I’m reporting live from you from Asheville, North Carolina, in my hotel room. I’m sick as hell, so I will not be on Dynamite tonight, and it pains me so, so much because I was dying to be there for the first-ever mother of all simulcasts, as we make our debut on MAX,” she said.

Renee Paquette on her relationship with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley and Renee Paquette have been a couple since their days in WWE. They started dating in 2013 and eventually tied the knot in April 2017. Both are currently signed to AEW, where The Purveyor of Violence has been positioned as a top star since 2019. Renee joined the promotion in 2022 and has since done a great job in interviewing talents and hosting shows like Close Up in AEW.
In a recent chat on Busted Open Radio, the erstwhile Renee Young revealed that she doesn't see Jon Moxley at work, as they both are busy working in their respective fields. The 39-year-old said she respects what Jon has done in his career and further revealed that she reconnects with him at the end of the night.
“I don’t know. I kind of just steer clear. The truth of it is, when Jon and I go to work, we’ve always been like this; he does his job, and I do my job. We’ve always been like that. He’s off doing his thing; I’m doing mine. I love watching him do what he does. I just stick to my job, and I let him do his, and then, we reconvene at the end of the night,” she said. [H/T: Fightful]
The Death Riders leader and his stablemates have seemingly taken over AEW in recent months. It will be interesting to see if Renee Paquette plays a part in the storyline in the future.
