Renee Paquette unhappy with Jon Moxley refusing to make big change: “Just causes me a lot of pain and anguish”

Renee Paquette has been married to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for four years now. The All Elite broadcast personality recently shared an interesting personal tidbit about the self-proclaimed One True King of the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Paquette serves as a backstage interviewer in AEW, and since her debut in 2022, has been featured prominently on the company's weekly televised programs, Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage. On the other hand, Moxley is currently waging war on the All Elite roster, seemingly expressing - in storyline - his disappointment with what he perceives to be a complacent, self-indulgent locker-room.

The commander of The Death Riders was recently revealed to be a staunch Android user by Renee Paquette during a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, where she also shed light on how that affected her ability to correspond with her spouse at times, owing to Paquette herself being an iPhone user.

“I live in a house divided where I’m an iPhone, [while] my husband [Jon Moxley] is an Android user, and this green text… It just causes me a lot of pain and anguish. But there’s no changing him. The man is set in his ways. It is what it is. So I can never leave him a proper voice memo. If I’m on a plane, I cannot communicate with him. It’s very frustrating.”

The erstwhile Renee Young elaborated on Moxley's seeming mistrust of Apple and its products and services, and added:

“He wants nothing to do with the Cloud. He’s not interested. He doesn’t trust it. I think he thinks something shifty is up with Apple and their products. So he’s not interested but I also think that he comes from an entire family of green texters so… It’s an inherited thing. It’s very stressful. What if I had to tell him something? I’ve had to email him. I have to email my husband sometimes like ‘From the desk of Renee Paquette.’ What the f*ck?” explained Paquette. [H/T - SEScoops]

The consistent on-screen presence of The Remarkable Renee Paquette on recent AEW programming has led a number of viewers to question why she has not had a significant on-screen interaction with Jon Moxley and The Death Riders in light of their ongoing carnage in the promotion.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Paquette discussed how she and Moxley navigate sharing the same workplace and voiced her respect for The Purveyor of Violence and his work in AEW, while also asserting that she enjoys her own role as a non-wrestling personality in the Tony Khan-led promotion.

Jon Moxley will put his AEW World Title on the line against Orange Cassidy this Saturday at Full Gear 2024.
