AEW recently sent a message to an ex-WWE star, causing quite a bit of buzz in the wrestling community. This led to fans speculating about his return and some other possible scenarios.
Miro (fka Rusev) has become quite a polarizing figure in the All Elite fanbase at this point. While many are vying for his return, he has requested his release from the company. Despite that, fans remain hopeful that will be brought back to the programming down the line with a fitting storyline.
Amidst all this, AEW's X (fka Twitter) account recently posted a message directed at Miro, wishing The Redeemer a Happy Birthday.
Fans also reacted to the post in various ways. Here are some of those reactions:
"Thought he got released," a fan wrote.
"Return in Mox's crew incoming..." wrote another.
"Y'all are just taunting him with this post 😂," comment this one.
Another star thinks Miro will leave AEW to return to WWE
According to former WWE 24/7 Champion EC3, there is a good chance that Miro will be making his way back to the Stamford-based promotion in the future.
Speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 stated that The Redeemer had probably saved enough money to have creative freedom. He said:
"Yeah, I can see a WWE return. I don't know if it's on the cusp or asking for your release. He made a bunch of money; he didn't really work a ton at the end of the day. You've self-sustained with Twitch and all these other things. It's great to have that freedom, where if you're unhappy, you're like 'I'm out. Let me go,'" said EC3.

For now, fans will have to stay tuned to see what is next for Miro down the line in All Elite Wrestling.
