WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair had a legendary run in many wrestling promotions. The 75-year-old is one of the few veterans who is still actively used in current storylines. He was recently featured in the Sting retirement angle in AEW.
The fact that Flair is still involved in the wrestling world has fans predicting that he could be back to WWE for their upcoming Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event. All this speculation arose because fans spotted something intriguing during Cody Rhodes' recent promo on SmackDown.
During the promo, Rhodes stormed off in the loading area, and a WWE production truck with a picture of Ric Flair was spotted. WWE is notorious for dropping easter eggs. Earlier this year, when Cody Rhodes was in a feud with The Bloodline, he was beaten down by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the parking lot. A truck with pictures of John Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin was seen in the background, raising rumors that Austin and Cena would return at WrestleMania 40. And as we all know, one of those superstars showed up in the main event of The Show of Shows.
After spotting the picture of The Nature Boy, fans had some reactions.
"cody creating a four horsemen, " one fan posted.
"If I’ve learned anything watching @WWE for 40 years is that it’s 90% always on purpose. Probably a jab at that other company that the stylin profilin OG is working for," another fan posted.
"Nothing is done by accident with that company," wrote this user.
A few even shared some creative theories.
"Ric flair royal rumble winner 2025 confirmed,"was another theory.
"Ric Flair at clash of the castle confirmed," posted another fan.
Cody Rhodes is having a phenomenal feud with AJ Styles for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL after a devastating feud with The Bloodline. The American Nightmare has been facing several top contenders for the title since.
While he has faced Drew McIntyre, Dominick Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, Logan Paul, and AJ Styles for the title on live events and on TV, The Phenomenal One is not taking no for an answer. In May and June, the two had five matches for the championship, including one at Backlash France.
The two will now face each other in an 'I Quit' Match at Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
