Ric Flair might have a big motive behind joining Sting in AEW, says WWE legend

Sting Ric Flair
Veteran thinks Ric Flair joined Sting in AEW for a reason

A WWE Hall of Famer shed light on the probable big motive behind Ric Flair joining Sting in AEW amid his retirement announcement.

On the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, fans were anticipating what Sting's gift from company President and CEO Tony Khan would be. While The Icon was in the ring alongside Darby Allin, Tony Schiavone revealed the gift, and it turned out to be two-time WWE Hall of Famer, The Nature Boy, Ric Flair.

Flair emotionally hugged his long-time rival, and friend, and also admitted that The Icon was the nicest person he ever met. Meanwhile, speculations regarding The Nature Boy being present at Sting's last match next year at the Revolution PPV have already begun making rounds.

Nonetheless, WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray presented his opinion on the same, as he seemed worried about Flair's health, and wondered whether he should be in The Icon's corner during his last match. Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Ray stated:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"I am not saying that I definitely want to see it. As a matter of fact, my jury is still out on this one. Do I want to see Ric Flair at Sting's last match? Yes! At the very least, I want to see him ringside. I don't know if he should be in there, I don't know if he needs to be in there. If you ask me my opinion, I would say Ric probably wants to be in there." [6:35-7:08]

Sting's potential match for AEW Full Gear

After Ric Flair made his first-ever AEW appearance to greet The Icon, he was rudely interrupted by TNT Champion Christian Cage. Captain Charisma disrespected Flair and went on to challenge Darby Allin, The Icon, and a partner of their choosing against Luchasaurus, Nick Wayne, and himself in a trios match. Christian made fun of Ric by indicating that he could be the third partner.

The Vigilante and Darby later confronted Adam "Edge" Copeland during an interview with Renee Paquette backstage. Sting reminded Adam that they went way back and told him to get with it. At the end of the segment, Adam was left wondering if he should be their potential partner for Full Gear.

The Rated-R Superstar has reserved his decision as of now. It remains to be seen if fans get to see the trios match that has potential to be a grand spectacle indeed.
