Ric Flair has suggested that not all is well with him and WWE and that some names are unhappy about his move to AEW.

Flair shocked the world when he joined AEW as part of Tony Khan’s surprise to departing icon Sting, who is set to retire in 2024. The arrival of the Nature Boy had everybody talking, but all is apparently not well with his former company, according to the legend himself.

The Hall of Famer was speaking to Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay when he revealed:

“I think some people are upset with me now that I went to work at AEW. I don’t know why. If you’re acknowledging, and you think I’ve contributed to the business, and I know I have because I hear it every day, you would think they would let me do whatever I want to do. As long as it doesn’t affect them. I’m not going to get on TV and say, ‘AEW is better,’ I’m not doing something stupid. I’m just working. That’s all I know how to do. They’re mad. Not mad, but they did something… I’ll tell you off camera.” [H/T Ringside News]

WWE legend Ric Flair honored on AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite was loaded with Ric Flair references from the beginning of the show.

His energy drink, WOOOOO Energy, was advertised on the sides of the main titantron with his iconic logo and all the different colors. He even took to Twitter to acknowledge the gesture and responded in typical Flair fashion.

“@woooooenergy On Full Display! WOOOOO! #AEWDynamite,” he tweeted.

With Flair being one of AEW’s biggest names, it remains to be seen how he will be used once Sting retires, given that he was brought back, especially for the WCW icon.
