Fans will finally get a glimpse of Ricky Starks as he is announced for a rare appearance outside AEW. The former FTW Champion will no doubt be looking forward to it.

Starks has not been seen on AEW programming since he and Big Bill lost the quarterfinals of the World Tag Team Title tournament to Top Flight. Owing to his absence, many reports have come out suggesting that he could soon join WWE. However, as of today, he is still signed with AEW.

The star has now been announced to show up at the Wrestling Universe in New York City on September 22 from 12 pm to 3 pm. The AEW star took to X/Twitter to acknowledge the event and wrote to his fans saying:

“Few rare appearances like these so come say hello this Sunday!! 12pm-3PM @TheWrestlingUni.”

It will be great for the fans to finally see Ricky Starks face-to-face, especially since he has been missing from AEW since March.

Booker T thinks Ricky Starks will be perfect for WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has given his opinion on Ricky Starks joining WWE and said that he would be perfect for the company.

The AEW star has not been used to his full potential in the Jacksonville-based promotion, and a lot of his fans want him to move to WWE. Booker T agrees with that take and gave his opinion on his Hall of Fame podcast.

He said:

“I think he fits in perfectly. I mean, I really do. I think he’s got that look, he’s got the swagger. His name has gotten there before he did, so that right there said a whole lot about Starks. The guy believes in himself. That’s one thing I could say, almost like about Ethan Page. Ricky Starks — this kid. He has something, I don’t know what it is. People are always comparing him to The Rock. Me personally, I don’t see that. I don’t see that. But his promo style, his dress perhaps, maybe look, I don’t know. But people do compare him a lot to The Rock.”

Whether he stays in AEW or moves to WWE, it will be great to see him finally reach his full potential. Something he has not been able to achieve so far.
