AEW star Ricky Starks sent a captivating post on social media amidst controversial events. He hasn't been seen on AEW TV since March 2024.
The Absolute was one of the most promising stars in the All Elite locker room during 2023. He was featured on Collision consistently and even won the 2023 Owen Hart Cup after defeating CM Punk. Later, he teamed up with Big Bill but has now been absent for more than nine months. He has only been performing at independent promotions since then.
Recently, Ricky Starks was pulled from a GCW event, which caused a stir on social media. The shocking move seemingly happened after a GCW star, Effy, commented on Tony Khan. The 34-year-old is still scheduled to appear at other promotions. Fans were extremely unhappy after AEW didn't let Starks appear on GCW and showed support for the star.
Recently, a fan of Ricky commented on X/Twitter that he missed the star as he hasn't been on TV for a lengthy period. The Absolute thanked the user for the heartwarming message.

Booker T believes Ricky Starks would fit in NXT
In the past year, Lexis King, Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears jumped to WWE from AEW and have been thriving on the NXT brand.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T stated the 34-year-old star would be a huge difference-maker in the Stamford-based promotion.
"Do I think he can fit in NXT right now? Of course. I mean, just like Ethan Page, he can make a huge difference as far as the roster goes. He is very charismatic. He is a guy with upside. As far as Ricky Starks' work, I haven't really gotten a chance to really see him go out there and do a lot in the ring," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Starks will return to AEW before his contract expires.
