Ricky Starks shares vague response on whereabouts amid WWE signing rumors

Ricky Starks has shared a vague response when asked about his whereabouts amid rumors that he is planning to sign with WWE. This will leave the fans a bit confused.

The AEW star has been out of action ever since he and Big Bill lost their tag team titles to Sting and Darby Allin in February. Despite not appearing in AEW, he was seen at WrestleMania 40 as he was there to support his friend Cody Rhodes.

There have been a lot of rumors of him going to WWE. Recently, he appeared on a Highspots Sign It Live virtual signing where he shed light on his absence. He said:

"I wish I could give an answer [about my whereabouts]. I'm healthy. I'm ready to get back in the ring. I am in shape, obviously. I've always been in shape. Sometimes it just isn't up to me, I guess, as they say. So I love wrestling, and I'm going to figure out a way to do it one way or another. I at least think I owe fans some type of explanation to the best of my ability, to the best of my knowledge. Some people don't want to believe that. That's fine. I don't give a f*, but yeah, I wish I had more of a definitive answer. But sometimes darkness is your only friend when you're definitely trying to find the light." [H/T Wrestling Inc]

Vince Russo says Ricky Starks lacks a unique character

Vince Russo does not hold back when it comes to giving his opinion on happenings in the wrestling world, and he did just that when speaking about Ricky Starks.

He was speaking on Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws when he said that the reason Starks won't go to WWE is because he does not have a unique character. He said:

"It's exactly what EC3 is saying, bro. Wrestlers are a dime a dozen, bro. Great wrestlers are a dime a dozen. For somebody like me, you just gotta give me more than that, bro. And the time that I did see him on AEW, I... What are you gonna tell me your character is, bro, you're a cocky wrestler? Everybody is a cocky wrestler, bro. You gotta give me more than that, man."

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the near future with Ricky Starks amid all the rumors.
