AEW star Ricky Starks has had a rough couple of months after an unfortunate series of events occurred lately. He was told to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion by Max Caster recently. The Acclaimed star is known for his controversial tweets where he often takes shots at his fellow co-workers.
The Absolute star was one of the top rising stars in AEW. He was one of the main characters of Collision in 2023. Later, he teamed up with Big Bill and even became the AEW World Tag Team Champion. A few weeks after losing the championship, he was in a bout on Collision and hasn't been seen in the company since. He has been on a hiatus since March 2024 despite being perfectly healthy.
Ricky Starks was allowed to accept bookings from independent promotions but was pulled from a prominent GCW event. Tony Khan was reportedly furious about GCW star Effy's comments about him and his family. This led to a massive outpour of support for Starks.
Recently, he posted a picture on X/Twitter and captioned it 'Keep it up.' Max Caster then responded to the picture by saying that he should leave the Jackonville-based promotion.

Booker T believes Ricky Starks would be a difference maker in NXT
The former FTW Champion's contract with AEW is slated to expire in mid-2025. Many are speculating that he will be jumping to WWE soon after the contract is over.
While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, veteran Booker T claimed that Ricky Starks would fit in NXT very easily.
"Do I think he can fit in NXT right now? Of course. I mean, just like Ethan Page, he can make a huge difference as far as the roster goes. He is very charismatic. He is a guy with upside," he said.
It will be interesting to see if the former FTW Champion returns to AEW in the future.
