AEW star Ricochet is set to compete in a tag team match outside the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, he might be teaming up with his partner, the 46-year-old legend CIMA, for the last time in his professional wrestling career.
The One and Only recently inked a deal with AEW that allows him to work for independent wrestling promotions and wrestle in Japan. Japanese promotion Gleat recently announced the return of Ricochet to Japan where he will tag with CIMA on October 6th in Osaka.
Ricochet and CIMA are no strangers to each other as they have tagged with each other during their time in Dragon Gate. On X/Twitter, the former WWE star reacted to the announcement noting it might be the last time he would tag with the veteran.
"Let's go!!!! Me and @supercima1115 will be teaming up again for possibly the last time!!! Youvwont [sic] wanna miss it!"

Ricochet opens up about his chat with Triple H before leaving WWE for AEW
The One and Only left the Stamford-based promotion in July and officially made his AEW debut last month at All In in the Casino Gauntlet match. Many were shocked to see Ricochet walk. However, the direction was clear due to his questionable booking in WWE.
In a recent chat on the Masked Man podcast, Ricochet revealed that the conversation with Triple H seemingly kept the door open for an eventual return to the company. He also noted that the promotion knew that he wouldn't renew his deal with it.
"Yeah, I think I went into it, and I think, even later, me and Triple H had a little talk, and he was like, ‘Any time, whatever,’ because I just hadn’t re-signed, and it was kind of my last time there before the time ran up. I think they knew I just wasn’t gonna do it. So I think they were just trying to give me a good out that made me…something that is open-ended. I think they wanted to leave it that way, but I think they knew it wasn’t going to happen." [H/T Fightful]
Ricochet is set to begin an AEW International Title program with Will Ospreay on television. It will be interesting to see if it leads to his first title victory in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
