AEW star Ricochet competed against Will Ospreay on the fifth anniversary of Dynamite. The One and Only has broken silence after failing to walk away as the new champion.

Will Ospreay and Ricochet faced off in an exciting International Championship match on AEW Dynamite. The action was fast-paced and both men got the better of each other which resulted in the match ending in a draw after a double countout. All Elite CEO Tony Khan allowed both to continue the match, however, Konosuke Takeshita made a surprising appearance and took out Ospreay and Ricochet. The Japanese star made it clear that he's coming for the International Title.

On his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Ricochet reacted to Konosuke Takeshita's attack.

"And One for All," he wrote.

AEW recently announced that Will Ospreay will defend his International Championship against Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita at WrestleDream.

AEW star Ricochet believes he was used to put over talent in WWE

The One and Only left WWE in July and arrived in AEW at All In during the Casino Gauntlet Match. Ricochet has been eyeing the International Title since coming to the promotion and was unsuccessful in capturing the gold at Dynamite last night.

However, in a recent chat on Talk is Jericho, Ricochet opened up about his run in the WWE and claimed that he was only used to take moves from stars who were getting built up like Drew McIntyre, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and more. He called it a blessing and a curse and blamed himself for being put in the position.

"Guys, I never won, for one. So if I won and left, it would be weird. Two, it’s like, he [Bron Breakker] just started on RAW, they’re trying to make him a big threat, they’re trying to make him do something that’s dastardly. That was Ricochet’s role to take the moves from the people, that was always Ricochet’s role. It doesn’t matter if it was Braun [Strowman] or Drew [McIntyre] or whoever, you know what I mean? Bronson Reed, Shinsuke [Nakamura], to take their move. I’m gonna take their move. It is what it is, it was a blessing and a curse, I blame myself." [H/T: Fightful]

It will be interesting to see if Ricochet returns to the WWE after his run in All Elite Wrestling.
