The former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Ricochet, surprisingly got caught on camera during a funny moment on AEW Dynamite this week. The moment took place during his match against Claudio Castagnoli.
On the recent AEW Dynamite episode, the Gold League of the Continental Classic 2024 tournament kicked off. One of the matches in the league happened to be between Ricochet and Claudio Castagnoli. This was the first match between Claudio and the former WWE Star in Tony Khan's promotion after their multiple matches in the WWE and the Indies.
The match turned out to be a hard-hitting contest between the two. Meanwhile, a funny clip from the match has been going viral on social media. In the clip, it can be seen that Claudio dropped the former WWE Intercontinental Champion on the barricade between his legs, and he was seemingly hurt. Ricochet was also seen drinking water while lying down after the bump.

Speaking of the match, Castagnoli shockingly ended up defeating The Future of Flight in the end to earn three points in the Continental Classic Gold League. Claudio is slated to take on Brody King next week on Dynamite in the next match of the Blue League.
Ricochet on his goals in AEW
Ricochet made his AEW debut earlier this year at All In 2024 and has had a decent run until now. Recently speaking on WGN Radio 720, the former WWE Superstar vowed to become the All Elite World Champion and also to win the Continental Classic.
“What I want to accomplish is just continue to build the resume for Ricochet, continue to give the people you know something fun to watch. Obviously, I came to AEW, I want to be champion. I wanted to be the International Champion. That didn’t happen… yet, but it will. I want to win the Continental Classic. I want to be the AEW Champion. I want to be the Tag Team Champion. Obviously, those are goals that I think every wrestler needs to have.”
Although The Future of Flight lost his first match on Dynamite this week in the AEW Continental Classic Gold League, the tournament is far from over, and only time will tell if he manages to make a comeback in the ongoing competition.
