Former WWE star Ricochet is widely considered one of the greatest high-flying performers in modern-day pro wrestling. He has wrestled in numerous promotions, such as Dragon Gate, NJPW, WWE, and more. He recently mentioned AEW's Will Ospreay while discussing a match on social media.
The 35-year-old is best known for his six-year-long stint in WWE. During his tenure with the global juggernaut, he won several championships, including the Intercontinental, United States, and NXT North American titles. He recently parted ways with the promotion and is heavily rumored to join AEW soon.
At NXT Heatwave 2024, Kelani Jordan battled Sol Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. The match ended with Jordan's triumph, and she retained her gold. Interestingly, The Human Highlight Reel saw a sequence from the bout on X/Twitter and called both ladies female versions of Will Ospreay and himself.
"Looks like female version of me vs. @WillOspreay hahaha," Ricochet wrote.

Will Ospreay hopes to see Ricochet join AEW
A few months ago, AEW International Champion Will Ospreay appeared in an interview with ComicBook Nation. During the chat, he expressed his desire to face his long-time on-screen rival, Ricochet again.
During the time of this interview, The Human Highlight Reel was still signed to WWE. Ospreay said people in the Tony Khan-led promotion would appreciate the former United States Champion's skills.
"I don't know how much longer he has got in his contract, but I think it might be up soon, man. I don't know. I want him to know that there are people here that genuinely appreciate his work and I want to wrestle him again. I want him back here. I want him to know that there isn't a bar. You are the f***ing bar."
Ricochet and Will Ospreay have locked horns several times in the past in NJPW, Defiant Wrestling, and other independent promotions. Fans worldwide love their chemistry inside the squared circle. If the 35-year-old-year-old does sign with AEW, a much-awaited rematch may be in the cards.
