Ricochet reunited with a retired AEW star and long-time peer following this week's episode of Dynamite. The individual in question is Chuck Taylor.

Chuckie T has been a part of All Wrestling since the company's foundation, entertaining viewers as a member of the fan-favorite faction Best Friends alongside Trent Beretta and Orange Cassidy. Unfortunately, they split up earlier this year after Beretta turned on The Freshly Squeezed Star, with Taylor siding with Cassidy in the program. In April, he faced Trent in a Parking Lot Brawl on Rampage but was defeated in the bout. It was later revealed that Taylor had to retire from in-ring competition due to severe injuries he had sustained on his ankle.

Before his time in AEW, Taylor competed in companies like Chikara, PWG, Dragon Gate USA, and Evolve against many of the best wrestlers in North America, including several matches featuring Ricochet. The Human Highlight Reel is now signed with AEW, debuting at All In 2024 as a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet Match.

Ricochet was in action on the September 11, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, emerging victorious against Sammy Guevara. A backstage digital exclusive shared by the company's X/Twitter profile depicted The One and Only enjoying a heartfelt reunion with Chuck Taylor. The Kentucky Gentleman embraced Ricochet and voiced happiness over his arrival in All Elite Wrestling, besides addressing the post-match attack the latter suffered at the hands of The Beast Mortos on Dynamite. Ricochet reminisced about his history with Taylor in the pro wrestling industry.

"Chuck Taylor, bro... Literally, my first day of training, he was there to help me out, and he's been there basically my whole career," said Ricochet.

Ricochet recently spoke about meeting with his former peers in AEW after many years

During a recent appearance on The Babyfaces podcast, Ricochet spoke about his All Elite Wrestling debut at All In 2024 and reflected on his transition to AEW after his six-year stint in WWE.

The Highlight of the Night discussed meeting several talent from the Jacksonville-based promotion after many years, stating:

“It was pretty smooth for me to transition over. I haven’t seen a lot of these fives in five, six, seven years, maybe longer. But honestly, it was kind of like I saw them last weekend. We started right back where we left off. Obviously, the environments are different, so those are different, but at the end of the day, I’ve had fun my whole career, and this is just going to reignite that spark, that fire that still was there, but it just needed some gasoline to throw on it to ignite it, and I think AEW’s gonna be that gasoline.”

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ricochet on All Elite Wrestling programming.
