Back in August, the high-flying Ricochet made his AEW debut at All In 2024. Even though he is new to the Jacksonville-based promotion, fans across the world appear to be enjoying his work thoroughly.

In this week's episode of Rampage, Ricochet locked horns with The Patriarchy’s Nick Wayne. This match was fast-paced and exhilarating. Both stars showcased their immaculate in-ring skills. However, its most intriguing part was its finish. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion debuted a new finisher, which proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Wayne.

While the name of this finishing maneuver is unknown for now, it was surprisingly quite similar to Will Ospreay's "Hidden Blade." The difference between the two moves is that the Ariel Assassin targets the back of his opponent's head, while Richochet targets the front.

Ricochet on why he left WWE and joined AEW

In a recent interview with SI's The Takedown, the former 36-year-old WWE star revealed that he left WWE so that he could travel the world like he did during the infancy of his career. He added that he simply missed the feeling and wanted it back by signing with AEW.

"Honestly, the biggest reason is that I've been doing this for a long time, 21 years this year. And for me, the time when I was like, having the most fun in my career was when I was, like, traveling the world with those crazy lunatics in the back there. It's literally the time when I was having the most fun. Despite what people may think, it's not always been bad for Ricochet. I've had fun my entire career, no matter where I went. I've always had fun," said the former WWE United States Champion. (H/T The Takedown)

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Ricochet. Many fans hope to see him and Will Ospreay battle countless times.
