#3. Jim Cornette compares AEW Dynamite moment to John Cena at ECW One Night Stand 2006
Jim Cornette recently reviewed last week's AEW Dynamite on his podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience.
While talking about the main event and how one fan in the crowd threw AEW star Cody Rhodes' belt back at him, Cornette compared it to what happened with John Cena at ECW One Night Stand 2006:
See who is stunned by Hulk Hogan's words HERE
"Cody took his weight belt off and threw it into the crowd, and the crowd grabbed it, and a guy threw it back into the ring, and that got the biggest pop of the match. They came unglued when the crowd threw the belt back. I seem to remember the crowd throwing something back on the Dynamic Dudes one time. When they had the ECW pay-per-view, they threw Cena’s [tshirt] back. It’s happened a few times through history but the joyousness…it wasn’t even a cheer pop, it was laughing and happy pop," said Jim Cornette.
Cena faced Rob Van Dam at the event and the fans in attendance were fully behind RVD. Before the match, The Leader of the Cenation threw his shirt into the crowd about five times, with the fans throwing it back at him each time.
#2. AEW's Chris Jericho on never wrestling Bret Hart
Chris Jericho was recently interviewed by Danhausen on his YouTube channel, Love That Danhausen.
During the interview, Jericho was asked about which wrestling great he had never gotten the chance to work with and the former AEW World Champion named WWE and WCW legend Bret Hart:
"I never got to work with Bret Hart. That's a little surprising. I'd have loved to have had a match with Bret Hart. I would have loved to have had a match with Frank Gotch or George Hackenschmidt but by the time I got into the business, they were already in their 30s and 40s."
"Other than that, Bret Hart is the big one that I'd have loved to have had a match with. We were in WCW at the same time but he wouldn't give me the time of day at that point. I was very very low level," said Chris Jericho.
Bret Hart made one solitary appearance in All Elite Wrestling at their first pay-per-view, presenting the AEW World Championship belt.
