Saraya (fka Paige) recently clapped back against a fan who told her she should have stayed retired. The former WWE star had to step away from the squared circle in 2018 due to a neck injury from the year prior.

The Anti-Diva broke out as a star in the Stamford-based promotion, where she found considerable success as a singles competitor, including title runs with the NXT Women's Championship and the WWE Divas Championship. Unfortunately, during her match at a house show on 27 December 2017, Saraya sustained a neck injury, which eventually led her to announce her retirement from in-ring action on the episode of Monday Night RAW following WrestleMania 34.

However, the 31-year-old defied all odds and returned to active competition after making her debut in AEW in 2022 on Dynamite: Grand Slam. Later that year, in November, she revealed that she had been medically cleared to wrestle and had her first match in nearly five years against Britt Baker at Full Gear 2022.

Since then, Saraya has worked alongside several top stars and many up-and-comers in AEW. She won the Women's World Championship at All In 2023 and is currently a member of The Outcasts alongside Harley Cameron.

Saraya recently had an exchange with a fan over the latter's mean-spirited remarks on social media. Saraya is no stranger to toxicity from online wrestling fans

Despite her formidable experience in pro wrestling and her awe-inspiring achievements in the sport across various promotions, Saraya continues to face criticism and hate from a section of fans, especially on the internet.

One such fan recently accused the former AEW Women's World Champion of being a "stain" on women's wrestling on X/Twitter.

The star responded to the fan by stating that she did not remember her past interaction with them and panned them for their remarks. Furthermore, she corrected the fan over her nationality.

"Buddy, I have no idea who you are, long forgotten but you’ve remembered our social media interaction we had 5 years ago?!! You need to get out the house and experience life a bit if that’s the most exciting thing to happen to you. Also I’m British bud," she wrote.

It remains to be seen whether she will manage to defeat Mariah May in their quarterfinal bout in the 2024 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
