WWE star Seth Rollins was tactically mentioned on the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view. He was one of the top stars of ROH and worked in the company from 2007 to 2010. He is also a former ROH World Champion and has had memorable matches with stars like Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson.
Nigel McGuinness shocked the Hammerstein Ballroom arena when he answered Lee Moriarty's open challenge for the ROH Pure Championship during the Final Battle pay-per-view. This was the AEW commentator's third match since coming out of retirement earlier this year.
During the ongoing contest, ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni mentioned Seth Rollins as one of Nigel's worthy opponents during his time in ROH alongside Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, KENTA, and Naomichi Marufuji. Ian referred to Seth Rollins as Tyler Black, which was his in-ring name during ROH tenure.
"That's the poise that comes with having competed against stars like KENTA, Marufuji, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Tyler Black in this very building," he said. [00:13 - 00:22]
Unfortunately, Nigel McGuinness failed to win the ROH Pure Championship at the event. It will be interesting to see if ROH mentions any other WWE star during the rest of the pay-per-view.
