Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno has claimed that Shane McMahon might exact revenge on WWE by signing with AEW. The Prodigal Son was let go by the promotion after the 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
Shane McMahon was heavily criticized by the WWE Universe and the company's staff for his role in booking the 2022 Men's Royal Rumble Match. Notably, he entered at number 28 and lasted until the final three before being eventually eliminated by Brock Lesnar. The 54-year-old was quietly released by the promotion after the PPV event.
However, he returned at WrestleMania 39 alongside Snoop Dogg for an impromptu match against The Miz. The veteran tore his quad muscle during the match and was eventually replaced by Snoop Dogg.
Meanwhile, a photograph from a private meeting between Shane McMahon and Tony Khan has been making the rounds on social media, and many believe that The Prodigal Son might be gearing up to join the Jacksonville-based promotion.

During the recent episode of the Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL podcast, Disco Inferno claimed that Shane could be planning to take revenge for his controversial release in 2022 by signing with the Tony Khan-led promotion.
"Maybe this is his [Shane] revenge for being disrespected," he said. [1:06-1:13]
Dutch Mantell says he will start watching AEW if Shane McMahon joins the promotion
During a recent edition of Sportskeeda's SmackTalk podcast, Dutch Mantell claimed that the picture from the meeting between Tony Khan and Shane McMahon was deliberately leaked to ''get people talking.''
The veteran further said that he would start watching AEW if Shane signed with the promotion.
"I don't think it was leaked. I think it was planned all along, because a guy just doesn't walk into a room with those two, and all of a sudden, 'Hoooooh!' And they were both looking at the camera, click. And all of a sudden it hits the waves of the internet. But it did whatever it was supposed to do. Get people talking, and if, say, Shane did go into AEW, that would want to make me watch it. To see what they do. Because if they f**k that up, it's their fault. But I don't think Shane would let them mess it up that bad. But I'd be interested to see what he would do," he said. [4:44-5:32]
It will be interesting to see if the former Hardcore Champion becomes All Elite in the coming days.
