Fans are shocked after a new report on Shane McMahon was released following the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view. His last WWE appearance happened at WrestleMania 39, and he reportedly has no contractual ties with WWE.

Mercedes Mone arrived in AEW on March 13, 2024, and has been a huge attraction in the company. She won the TBS Championship in her first match and captured the NJPW Strong Women's Championship in her second pay-per-view match at Forbidden Door III. She has a great influence on the women's division and even has creative control of her character.

Rumors of Shane McMahon having talks with All Elite Wrestling have been running wild after Conrad Thomson, co-host of the Grilling JR podcast, revealed he had heard of talks between Shane and AEW talents.

Shockingly, according to a recent report, Mercedes and Shane met at LaGuardia Airport in New York City while they were on their way to catch their respective flights. Moreover, the same report also disclosed that they might have had a conversation about AEW.

Many fans are convinced that his meeting with the CEO is the start of McMahon's relationship with AEW. Many also suggested he would be a great addition to the promotion if he is involved as an authority figure.

Jim Ross believes Shane McMahon joining AEW 'could happen'

Shane has been a wrestler and an authority figure in WWE. Jim Ross recently weighed in on his potential arrival.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, the AEW commentator revealed it isn't impossible for Shane McMahon to join AEW.

"It could happen... Oh, absolutely, it could happen... He's got great name identity; he's got people who recognize him. So, hell, I don't know. I would say it's a long shot, less than 50/50, that he would reengage in pro wrestling, but I can't say that it's impossible because it isn't. And he's a good guy, and he still loves the business," he said.

It will be interesting to see what is in store for the 54-year-old name and if he is willing to sign with AEW.
