A former WWE star is glad that the fans are starting to hate AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Mone recently joined AEW and her character has not been favored by fans.
The CEO arrived as a babyface in the Jacksonville-based promotion back in March. But as time passed, she gradually turned heel in the business. With Britt Baker back in action, fans are now seemingly considering the TBS Champion a heel. Matt Morgan, who was with WWE from 2002-2005, expressed his thoughts on the matter.
Speaking on the latest edition of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan discussed how the arrival of D.M.D Britt Baker triggered fans to turn against Mercedes Mone. He also stated that he is happy the fans have started hating her.

He said, "I was happy to see her put Mercedes Mone in her place because Mercedes Mone tried to curse and do these other things, do her stupid little dances that just do nothing but get heat. By the way, let's be clear AEW was not booking her to be a heel she became on her own by her arrogance in this character and thought the way that she was displayed on WWE television, doing the dance, being cocky and her entrance and all that stuff would get over as a baby face it does not in the real world."
He also stated that the star was "arrogant."

Britt Baker was interviewed following her AEW Forbidden Door appearance confronting Mercedes Mone
Britt Baker has long been considered one of the biggest female stars in AEW. Her charisma and presence have left fans asking for more and when she was sidelined with an injury, her absence from programming was dearly felt.
Baker's return to AEW during Forbidden Door garnered a lot of praise from fans as The DMD came out to a raucous ovation from the fans.
Following her appearance, the AEW cameras caught up with the former women's champion. When asked about what she was doing, The DMD stated that she would reserve her comments for the Dynamite.
On Wednesday Night Dynamite Baker cut a promo with the TBS and NJPW Women's Strong Champion. The two women had an intense back-and-forth session which left many feeling that Mone was the heel.
