"She's the female Hulk Hogan," "Tony learned nothing from WCW" - Fans left stunned after Mercedes Mone's recent comments

The TBS Women's Champion Mercedes Mone has been confident ever since she arrived at AEW earlier this year. Mone recently made some interesting comments about her creative direction in the promotion which has gotten some interesting reactions from the fans.

Mercedes Mone made her huge debut at AEW Dynamite: Big Business in March. She adopted the CEO gimmick and was quickly put in the TBS Title picture. At the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in May, Mone made her in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling where she successfully defeated Willow Nightingale to become the new TBS Women's Champion.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the former WWE star revealed that she has creative control in All Elite Wrestling.

"I got this, I think just every single week you gotta watch, yes I have creative control, but I work with Tony Khan very closely so it’s a great combo."

The fans have reacted to the former Sasha Banks' comments claiming that she is the female version of The Immortal Hulk Hogan who also had a major influence on his creative plans in WWE, WCW, and TNA.

Fans continued to bash Mercedes' comments and questioned why she would publicize that she has creative control over her storylines.

"Well we know why she chose AEW (besides the money), this will definitely end well lol," a fan stated.

"Why you would publicize this is baffling," another tweeted.

Mercedes Mone hopes to see a veteran couple in AEW

TJ Wilson and Natalya are two of the most important names in the WWE. While Natalya is a legendary female star in the company, TJ has been a producer for the promotion for the past several years after he was forced to retire due to injury in 2015.

Speaking in an interview with Maggie and Perloff, Mercedes Mone seemingly spoke about the rumors of Natalya's possible contract expiration and hinted that she'd like to see her and TJ Wilson come to All Elite Wrestling.

"I have heard little rumors of a certain girl that I really, really love. I don’t want to name names because if I say their name, then you know the other competition might just want to get them that much quicker. So, if we have a chance to get her, I would absolutely love her and her husband to be here. But that’s just that… Just go on X, Twitter, or Instagram. I’m sure the fans will figure it out." Mercedes Mone is the current TBS Women's Champion in AEW. The CEO is set to face NJPW Strong Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top at the pay-per-view.
