Shelton Benjamin has just made his AEW in-ring debut tonight on Dynamite. He faced off against another top star in a first-time encounter between the two. This would be Lio Rush.

The Gold Standard made his debut appearance a few weeks ago, revealing himself to be MVP's business partner. As of now, they are currently in the process of looking for people to join their faction. However, they have now had their fair share of run-ins with the likes of Swerve Strickland and Lio.
After a backstage confrontation with the former WWE Cruiserweight at WrestleDream last weekend, Tony Khan booked a singles match between the two.

Shelton Benjamin barely showed any ring rust as he was having his way for the majority of the match. Lio Rush fought back, using his speed to his advantage but it was all for naught.

In the end, Shelton Benjamin walked away with the win, proving just how dominant he can be in the ring, as the entire locker room may have just found a force to be reckoned with.
Post-match, MVP came in and left Lio with his business card, as he acknowledged his efforts in the ring tonight. It remains to be seen whether the veteran successfully finds clients anytime soon.

Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
