Shelton Benjamin is slated to face a huge name for the first time in AEW following his debut. The bout will take place on Fright Night Dynamite on October 30.
The Gold Standard made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few weeks ago on an episode of Dynamite. He was introduced as MVP's business partner in The Hurt Syndicate. On Wednesday, Benjamin made his in-ring debut for the promotion, defeating Lio Rush in a one-on-one match.
Benjamin is set to take on former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland after MVP issued a challenge on Dynamite this week. At the WrestleDream pay-per-view, Strickland and the former Intercontinental Champion had an altercation after The Realest refused to join The Hurt Syndicate.
All Elite Wrestling's X/Twitter handle officially confirmed the match between Strickland and The Gold Standard. The first-time-ever bout will take place on Fright Night Dynamite later this month.
